THE ORANGE MUD My husband and I do quite a bit of traveling together to hike on the beautiful Michigan trails. With him being an ultra runner he will sometimes wake up extra early to get in his miles before we start our day. He will run anywhere from 10-50 miles depending on how the spirit moves him at that particular moment. So he has tried several different hydration systems in his many years of running. He has fallen in love with the Orange Mud and now he is an ambassador for them. But on this particular day he was not doning the typical HydroQuiver Double Barrel pack that he usually has strapped to his back. He had his Urban Hippy Trippster Backpack on. I personally have a plethora of camera equipment, and I don't typically carry it all with me when I venture out into the forest. But this day I wanted to bring a lot of different lenses with me and I didn't want to carry my camera bag because its just not comfortable, especially with all the layers of clothes you need to wear for Michigan in the winter. He also wanted to bring his big camera out on the trails too. So between the 2 of us we had some equipment to carry. This backpack, the U.H.T.P., is HUGE inside. I have a Canon 7D with the big double battery pack and he uses a Canon T3i. I also brung out 3 different lenses with me too, and of course he had food and he carried 2 Orange Mud water bottles that fit conveniently in the 2 extra deep side pockets. All that stuff and we still had room for extra hats and mittens just in case we got cold. We explored LUDINGTON STATE PARK trails. This is one of our favorite places to go and is becoming a New Years Day tradition for the 2 of us. We spent our afternoon watching the geese and swans fly around Hamilin Lake. This year the lake is completely open, a huge contrast from last years deep freeze. That is what I love about this state, you never know what you're going to get weatherwise each day. I easily found each lens from the backpack and changed them quickly to capture my nature shots. I was happy that I didn't have to fumble with my giant camera case to get to my gear. I also got to use my new Optrix Pro case to get some shots with my Iphone6. Which is usually the only camera I bring with me out on my walk. I am in love with that wide angle lens that comes in the 4 piece kit. I was so happy that with the amount of room in that pack that I wanted to let everyone know how amazing it is. Ramon got me a camo one for christmas that I use for my camera equipment and Josh, from Orange Mud, sent me a black and pink one for sending in some sweet shots of our trail aventures with the U.H.T.P. Go check them out and use Ramon's code LOVEOFTHERUN to save an extra 10% off your order. They also have lots of different hats and super soft Tshirts too.
